Waaaah, we missed a post!

Hey everyone! Super sorry if you were looking for a post this Friday...kinda lame, but Monkey was off winning a $160 Chrome bag at Litquake's Underground Exposed zine retrospective (put on by none other than Sean Logic of Ashcan) and Seal is madly working on finishing her 3 illustrations that are due tomorrow. Wooo!

Anyway, if you're still up reading this, once again (I think we mentioned it earlier) Monkey will be selling our collection of zines as well as some of his screenprints (some never seen in the store yet!) at the Book Arts Jam today (Saturday) from 11am-4pm at the Academy of Art table. Yay!

Monkey hopes you stop by to say hello and we'll get back to the regular schedule of blog posting.

Low on sleep

Due to crazy schedules, Monkey + Seal have been a bit low on sleep lately. However, we are depriving ourselves of sleep in order to have some amazing stuff for you come this holiday season.

Monkey is currently working on some holiday card designs, as well as organizing a brand-new craft show that we actually got sponsored by Etsy! If you are interested in participating, please contact Monkey at: info [at] monkeyandseal.com. Affordable table prices, an amazing venue, and much much more, we've got it all! Additionally, he's been hard at work doing some quick painting studies to sharpen the saw. Below is a quick scan of one of his 60 minute paintings.

Seal has been burning the midnight oil to come up with a whole slew of new illustrations. Currently she is working on a long (12" x 24") illustration of a modern fashion designer's studio - set in a lavish French interior.

We may have posted this before (the lack of sleep is getting to us), but we now have a fan page on facebook! Please fan us!

New Illustrations by Seal

So Monkey + Seal are giddily excited about their newest investment - an Epson R1900! This giant wide-format printer has awesome new ink technology that boils down to our prints being archival and even clearer and more true to the original paintings. Woo!

Seal has been busily drawing away and has posted some of her newest works on her personal blog, including this graphite drawing:

We've also listed two new items in our shop, including an old-skool comic that Monkey drew four years ago called Percy the Emo Ninja, and a new punk pirate stationery set! Also, you can sign up for the monthly e-newsletter or follow us on twitter easily on the right sidebar! Have a great Friday!
